WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE PROBLEM: OUR SIN
All of us are created in the image of God and made to worship and glorify him. However, because of the fall (see Genesis Chapter 3) humanity is sinful and in complete need of a SAVIOR. Apart from the saving grace of God through Christ, we all face the holy wrath and righteous judgment of God. Our world has exchanged the worship of the one true God for other things. The Bible refers to this as idolatry—the heart of all sin.
THE ANSWER: OUR SAVIOR
(See John 3:16-18 NIV) 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
God, in his perfect love for us made a way for us to come back to a personal relationship with him. The Bible says if we cry out to God we will be saved (see Romans 10:9-11)
THE TRINITY
God is the triune God of the Bible. God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in his being. He is holiness, love, grace, mercy, justice, goodness, power, wisdom, and truth. He desires we intimately know Him and devote our lives to living for His glory.
Jesus is the Son of God and is alive in heaven right now after being raised from the dead and making a way for us to the Father. The blood of his sacrifice paid the price for ours sins and the same power that raised him from the dead is now here with us in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and He is worshipped with the Father and Son as God. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and brings repentance and faith to the believer. He consistently dwells within every believer to produce godliness and Christian character; He provides gifts to every believer for the good of the body of Christ.
THE BIBLE
God wrote the Bible through human hands without any error. Both Old and New Testaments represent all of the written word of God and contain no errors in their original form. The Bible was written by men, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is completely authoritative in all matters concerning faith and practice. (see 2 Tim. 3:16)
THE RAPTURE
Jesus will come a second time to earth and take with him all who have called upon his name to be saved (see Mathew 24:36-42). We do not know the time but must be vigilant that we are prepared and are fulfilling the Great Commission to tell the world the good news of the Gospel!
